Hi! My name is Anne
Donner. It's hard to believe, but this is my 8th year of teaching
at St. Francis School [time sure flies]. Originally, the pre-k
program was a 3 day a week program, but has grown into a 5 day program.
I was born and raised right here in Merrill,
WI. My family has been life long members of the parish.
Upon college graduation my husband and I moved to Danville, IL, where
Keith took a job as the plant engineer for Consumer Water Co. In
Danville I found a job teaching Kindergarten/1st grade at Oxford
Elementary school for 3 years followed by teaching Kindergarten at St.
Paul's Catholic school.
Our 2 children, Adam and Ellen, were born in
Danville, IL. Wanting to be nearer to grandparents, cousins, and
siblings we decided to return to our hometown of Merrill. That is what
brought me, happily, to St. Francis.
My husband, Keith, is the Public Works Director for
the Village of Westen. As a family we enjoy camping, canoeing,
taking our dog, Snickers, for walks, and attending all the sporting and
extra curricular events our children participate in. We also enjoy the
Merrill Blue Jays, Packers, and the Wisconsin Badger.
I hope that in my 8th years of teaching at St.
Francis that I have had a positive influence on the children.
Each child is truly unique and special and I hope they have learned
things in pre-k that will better prepare them for their continued
education and growth.
