Hi, my name is Trina Pawlicki, and I am the first grade
teacher here at St. Francis Xavier. It
is my second year teaching here and I’m really enjoying my days here at SFX.
I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and went to college at
UW-Superior. I chose teaching as my
career after a long conversation with my Mom who pointed out on several
occasions that I really enjoyed working with children in many different
situations.
I am married to Guy Pawlicki, who teaches English at the
high school here in Merrill. We have
twins, Mary and James, who are 7 years old and in second grade. Our family also includes a beagle named
Woody who keeps us busy keeping up with him!
For the time I am not at school I keep busy with my kids
activities. We have Cub Scouts, Brownies, and such to fill up our time.
We currently live in Tomahawk and look forward to moving to Merrill
soon!
I love teaching because I feel it is a great way to help the
future. I enjoy this age group
specifically because the class tends to inspire me as much as I hope to teach
them. First grade is busy- but we get
to read many great stories, try fun science experiments, and jump into math
moving past writing numbers to addition and subtraction.
I have many teaching experience that have helped me become
the teacher I am. I have substitute
taught, worked in a day care, and taught summer school. I have also coached swimming and track on
different occasions.
I feel I am very blessed to be here at SFX. I hope to continue to have many great and
rewarding experiences with the families and children here.
