Living What We Learn - Service Opportunities

In the Parish:

  • St. Francis Community Open Hands Soup Kitchen - Every Tuesday 5-6:30PM in the cafeteria, St. Francis Xavier Parish sponsors a soup kitchen for all wanting to build up the community. Youth volunteering need to be 16 years of age to work in the kitchen. Families are encouraged to participate! Please sign up in the back of church.
  • Welcoming the Little Ones and K-11 Religious Ed - Volunteers needed! Please complete the DOS Volunteers Forms and send in to the Religious Ed Office or contact us with your interest.
  • Music Ministry - Please contact the Director of Music, Mary Ament (536-2803, ext. 230) for details.
  • Serving at Mass – Those who have been trained as altar servers can earn service hours by serving at Mass. Please contact the Director of Liturgy, Mary Jo LeSage (356-2803 ext 213) for details.
  • Serving the Parish – If you want to be scheduled for parish ministry, contact the Parish Office (536-2803) and speak with Kris Leggett.
  • Lenten Fish Fry - Volunteers are always needed for various tasks at the fish fry!

In the Community:

  • Knights of Columbus Breakfast with Santa - Sunday 12 December 2010, the KoC sponsor a Breakfast with Santa from 7:30AM-Noon. They need your help with set-up, dishes and clean-up. Please contact Dick Duginski (715/536-7967) with questions.
  • Knights of Columbus Fishing Tournament - Saturday 12 February 2011, the KoC sponsor a fishing tournament from 7AM to 6PM. They need your help out on the lake! Please contact Dick Duginski (715/536-7967) with questions.

  • Merrill Community Food Pantry - To volunteer at the Merrill Community Food Pantry, please call 715/536-4505.
